I was born in Toronto Canada.
My sister was a writer actress my brother a film director, so a career in show biz was enviable. I wanted to be a stand up comic so I headed for New York City. The comedy clubs were just starting to bloom, at that time.
However, my big break came at The Comedy Store in LA. Mitzi Shore the owner recognized my talent and gave me endless stage time. Over next years, I honed my act, hit the road and made many television appearances.
At this time there were so many talented comedians making their careers, Roseanne, Eddie Murphy, Sandra Bernard, Robin Williams and many others. It was amazing to share the stage with these comedy legends, When I turned my attention to sit-com writing, it was Roseanne who gave me my start as a TV writer.
After three seasons on Roseanne, I continued to produce and write on many other sit-coms. Drew Carrey, Grace Under Fire and so on. I created and developed a half hour sitcom for NBC. I also produced interstitials for HBO.
I was a show runner for a Toronto based talk show. I continued to produce for various shows in Miami, and New York in 2011 I married and moved to Germany, where I started to perform again. Stand up never leaves you! I’m currently performing London.
